Assur-score: Home insurance / The fire warranty
ASSUR-SCORE GUARANTEE Fire of 63 %: The best offers on the market are distinguished by better incentive to prevention
The fire guarantee is historic protection. It is even compulsory in the context of home insurance in France. It covers claims, the amount of which is higher than the average: around € 11,000 versus € 2,000. We made a complete comparison of the main contracts on the market as part of the Yakoota rating.
Our study reveals a good level of coverage, with An average assur-score of 63 % and varying from 41 % to 88 %. The best contracts are mainly distinguished by contractual clauses promoting support during a disaster and prevention, especially those related to sweeping, which turned out to be crucial during fires in Los Angeles, California.
The best results are obtained by the contracts of the Maif,, Macif And Insurance Abee. Conversely, Thélem Assurances,, Leocare And Baked Display the weakest assur-scores.
Most reliable dwelling insurance

… And the least reliable
Our fire guarantee barometer highlights the importance of comparing contracts, even for compulsory guarantees. Prevention efforts and support after a disaster, such as taking charge of damage related to rescue intervention, are not sufficiently generalized on the French market. We encourage the market to develop these clauses and improve communication relating to these characteristics, in order to preserve the insurability of a risk called to become more frequent and more serious with climate change.
It is important to note that the best fire insurance are not necessarily the best contracts for you. The Yakoota comparator is the first to integrate all insurance contracts and adapt to the needs as well as to everyone's preferences, thanks to an increased intelligence solution. It also incorporates ESG score and digital performance to assess the quality of insurance contracts.
The Yakoota barometer includes several scores to give a complete image of the quality of the contracts: quality of covers, contract management, ESG, omnichannel (digital performance and human assistance), simplicity, reliability, speed, and guarantees such as fire, water damage, civil liability….
We have described the method of calculating the score in methodological page. It is first of all a tool to fairly compare the service of home insurance contracts. A dedicated page therefore presents the different uses of barometer indicators. If however you need additional information relating to digital insurance, contact us.
Barometer information is Yakoota's intellectual property. Their commercial use therefore requires Yakoota's prior agreement.
